As a break from posts regarding research and university coursework, I decided I’d post a video of my former band, “The Tillegra Damned”. This video was filmed at our performance at the Global Battle of the Bands world final at Kuala Lumpur, in February 2011.
You can spot me in the video (particularly the second half) playing a white flying-v guitar. Also present in this video is former band member Jed Rietveld (on keyboard), who is a fellow final year computer engineering and computer science student; in addition to Mica Brankovic, who is the current guitarist for the (now four-piece) band, and son of one of my former computer science lecturers.
Despite having played guitar since I was 16, one of the consequences of a perpetually intensifying workload throughout my degree was that I was unable to commit sufficient time to song writing and practice, and as a result I no longer play in a band (or for myself, for that matter). This is definitely one of the things I intend to get back into once I’ve graduated!
